Prude Lux
knee deep in the passenger seat and you're...?!?
those were the years i winced / when asked to repeat / the name i had given myself / through a dream / my thighs knit together / a serpent skirt selkie / i became / what some may have considered / an embarrassment what others will indulge / in the irony of / the artform turned ancient turned unpredictable / unnecessary / a poet / what i had really seen was the fennel / frond invasion / of an ocean / another hi, how are you summer / between beasts / then i knew / what i needed / to devour

I really like it. It is a very poised work which engages me with its emotional progression from shame and embarrassment to a kind of contained drive to rage. Keep it up.
Nymph!
"what i had really seen / was the fennel" I liked this line a bunch. Something about being able to see the world for what it is without distraction is a skill. Something I aspire to - 'simple' as it is.
Hope you are doing swell!
